Role Overview

The Merchandiser will play a vital role in supporting export merchandising activities. Responsibilities include coordinating with buyers and internal teams, handling sample creation and approval, assisting in costing and order management, ensuring coordination throughout the production cycle, and facilitating timely shipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with buyers and internal departments to meet sampling and order requirements.
• Support sample development processes and monitor sample approvals.
• Assist in costing procedures and generate order-related documentation.
• Work closely with Production, Planning, Quality Assurance, and other teams to ensure smooth order execution.
• Track production progress and ensure orders are completed on schedule.
• Maintain consistent communication with buyers about order status and specifications.
• Manage tracking for fabrics, trims, and samples linked to orders.
• Maintain comprehensive merchandising documentation and reports.
• Aid in ensuring export orders are shipped and delivered on time.
• Identify potential delays or issues in the workflow and promptly inform the reporting manager.
• Ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated and adhered to throughout the order process.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• Up to 2 years of relevant merchandising experience, ideally within garment or textile production.
• Fresh graduates with relevant academic knowledge or internships may also apply.

Essential Skills

• Basic knowledge of garment manufacturing and export merchandising operations.
• Understanding of costing, sampling, and order processing.
• Excellent communication and buyer liaison capabilities.
• Strong coordination and follow-up aptitude.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Good organizational skills with effective time management.
• Keen attention to detail and multitasking ability.
• Motivation to learn and enhance expertise in export merchandising.
• Customer-centric mindset coupled with sound execution skills.
