Job description
About the Organisation
The Australasian Corrosion Association (ACA) is a not-for-profit membership body focused on improving the understanding, prevention, and control of corrosion throughout Australia and New Zealand. It supports individuals and organisations through training, conferences, seminars, publications, and networking opportunities, helping them manage corrosion in a sustainable and cost-effective way while protecting people, assets, and the environment.
About the Role
ACA is looking for a proactive and service-oriented Membership Officer to help grow membership, manage member offers, support existing members, and contribute to the association’s continued success. The position blends membership administration, CRM upkeep, reporting, marketing support, and stakeholder engagement in a collaborative and flexible workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle membership applications, renewals, resignations, and member enquiries.
- Act as the main point of contact for members, branches, committees, and other stakeholders on membership matters.
- Keep membership records accurate and maintain strong data quality across Salesforce and connected systems.
- Track renewals, follow up on overdue payments, and prepare reports for branches and stakeholders.
- Support initiatives that improve member engagement, strengthen the member experience, and encourage membership growth.
- Resolve issues related to member portal access and other system problems.
- Review and create marketing content, and coordinate email campaigns using Mailchimp and social media.
- Manage and improve corporate member listings and directories.
- Support events, branch activities, technical groups, meetings, and special projects when needed.
- Look for ways to improve processes, systems, and overall operational efficiency.
- Maintain a strong understanding of ACA membership and reporting, and identify opportunities to increase member value.
About You
You will bring experience in membership services, customer service, administration, stakeholder engagement, or an association environment. You should be a clear and confident communicator, comfortable working with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, and confident using Excel for reporting, analysis, and data management. Experience with Canva, Mailchimp, or similar tools will be considered an advantage. You must have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational ability, and a proactive, collaborative approach with a genuine focus on excellent member service.
Eligibility
Applicants must be Australian citizens, permanent residents, or hold valid Australian working rights. The appointment will also depend on a satisfactory National Police Check. Candidates should be based in Melbourne.
How to Apply
Interested candidates are asked to submit an updated CV online for consideration. For any questions or technical issues with the application process, contact aca@corrosion.com.au.
