Job description
Your Role
In this position, you will independently manage child and adult protection cases together with the specialist service and take part in decision-making within child and adult protection. You will also monitor ongoing protective measures and advise guardians and trustees.
Profile
- A completed degree in education, psychology, law, or social work is required.
- Practical knowledge in child and adult protection is expected; experience in areas such as personal, family, inheritance, and administrative law would be an advantage.
- You bring relevant professional experience from a KESB, a youth prosecution office, or a professional guardianship service.
- You enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team with authority members and staff from the specialist unit.
- You work independently and accurately and are well organized.
- You are highly socially competent, resilient, flexible, and mentally suited to demanding responsibilities.
- You would like to contribute strong conceptual and analytical abilities.
- You communicate confidently at a high level, both verbally and in writing, and present yourself securely to stakeholders.
- You are conscientious, committed, reliable, and open-minded.
About the Service
The Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB) is responsible for implementing child and adult protection law. The KESB Region St.Gallen also handles these duties for the municipalities of Eggersriet, Häggenschwil, Muolen, and Wittenbach. The team works across disciplines and values respectful, open, and unbiased interaction with affected children, adults, and other parties involved in proceedings.
