Role Overview

The Medical Scribe position is a full-time remote role that involves meticulously documenting clinical interactions and health information to bolster WHOlivesorg’s programs and partnerships. Responsibilities encompass listening to or reviewing medical consultations and recording patient histories, physical examinations, assessments, and treatment plans in an organized and clear manner. The scribe is tasked with maintaining electronic health records compliant with organizational standards and confidentiality regulations. Collaboration with healthcare professionals and project teams is essential to ensure accurate data capture for research, reporting, and effective health documentation. The role demands excellent deadline management, effective communication in a remote work setting, and proactive involvement in refining documentation processes supporting health and safety efforts.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical documentation and scribing techniques ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Strong familiarity with medical terminology and human anatomy to produce precise medical records.
  • Experience or training in medical assisting or comparable clinical support roles.
  • Excellent communication abilities for effective collaboration with healthcare providers and remote team members.
  • Detail-oriented with robust organizational skills capable of independent work in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems or similar digital documentation platforms; understanding of data privacy and confidentiality practices is advantageous.
  • Relevant educational background comprising medical scribing certification, health sciences coursework, or related fields; prior exposure to global health or nonprofit sectors is beneficial.
