Medical Scheduler

Role Overview

This is a fully remote medical scheduling opportunity with a healthcare imaging practice. The position focuses on coordinating patient appointments, handling high call activity, and supporting accurate registration and insurance verification for outpatient procedures.

Location and Work Arrangement

The role is 100% remote, but candidates must live in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Idaho, North Carolina, Texas, Utah, or Washington. Applications from residents outside these states cannot be considered.

Pay and Schedule

Compensation is set at $20.23 to $24.07 per hour, depending on experience. The working schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM Pacific Time.

Responsibilities

• Answer a high volume of calls while communicating professionally with patients, provider offices, and insurance carriers.
• Arrange and pre-register outpatient procedures.
• Collect and confirm insurance, demographic, and clinical details.
• Work in line with authorization rules and compliance standards.
• Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of experience in a medical office setting.
• Working knowledge of radiology procedures, insurance processes, scheduling, and medical terminology.
• Strong interpersonal communication, multitasking, and customer service abilities.
• Comfort working across multiple software platforms, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Prior remote work experience.
