Job Overview
The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for obtaining medical records for annual HEDIS audits by coordinating outreach to healthcare providers. This role requires accurate data management and collaboration with internal teams and vendors to meet critical deadlines. The position is contract-based and onsite, operating primarily during daytime hours in specified states.
Work Schedule and Location Requirements
- Work hours are fixed from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time.
- Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York (excluding New York City), Ohio, Texas, Utah, Washington (excluding Seattle), or Wisconsin.
Core Responsibilities
- Engage with healthcare providers using phone, fax, mail, and electronic communication for medical record collection.
- Organize and accurately upload collected medical records into the HEDIS system.
- Support project activities by coordinating with vendors and internal teams to adhere to time-sensitive deliverables.
- Conduct onsite medical record retrieval as required.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED completion.
- Experience: At least one year of relevant experience in customer service or administrative roles.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Logistics: Valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and clean driving record for potential onsite visits.
- Home Office Setup: Capability to use or establish dual monitors with a docking station.
Compensation
Hourly wage ranging between $20 and $25.
