A Pharma Agency seeks a skilled Freelance Medical Writer to bolster its West Coast team remotely within the Pacific Time Zone. This role suits a scientific writer experienced in medical communications or pharmaceutical advertising who can transform intricate scientific and clinical information into clear, precise, and persuasive content tailored for healthcare professional audiences. The role demands a high level of scientific accuracy, regulatory compliance, and collaboration within a dynamic healthcare marketing agency.

Key Responsibilities

• Create scientifically rigorous, evidence-based medical content for pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
• Analyze and summarize clinical trials, scientific studies, and medical data effectively.
• Draft and revise diverse documents including healthcare professional promotional materials, medical communication outputs, slide presentations, scientific manuscripts, abstracts, posters, advisory board content, training material, mechanism of action content, as well as digital and omnichannel assets.
• Guarantee the scientific accuracy, balanced perspective, and proper referencing of all materials.
• Work collaboratively with account management, strategic planning, creative, and medical teams.
• Implement feedback and adjustments from medical, legal, and regulatory reviews.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on therapeutic areas and clinical research developments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possess an advanced scientific degree such as PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, DNP, MSN, PA, NP, or comparable life sciences qualification.
• Have prior experience within a Medical Communications or Healthcare Promotional Agency.
• Understand pharmaceutical marketing and healthcare communication principles well.
• Demonstrate experience writing targeted materials for healthcare professionals.
• Exhibit excellent scientific writing, editing, and literature interpretation skills.
• Adept at managing several projects simultaneously under tight deadlines in an agency environment.
• Familiarity with medical/legal/regulatory review procedures is highly valued.
• Candidates residing in California are strongly preferred, though the position is fully remote.

Compensation and Additional Information

• Hourly rate: $60.
• This role is fully remote but operates aligned to Pacific Time Zone hours.
