Medical Courier

Role overview

This full-time medical courier position is based in Daytona Beach, Florida, and runs Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The role supports healthcare delivery by transporting diagnostic specimens and lab materials safely, accurately, and on time. The work is route-based, independent, and suited to someone who is dependable, service-oriented, and comfortable being on the road.

What the job involves

• Collecting, carrying, and delivering medical specimens and laboratory items along a scheduled route.
• Maintaining professional communication with physicians, nursing teams, and laboratory personnel to keep deliveries on schedule.
• Operating a company vehicle that does not require a CDL.
• Using handheld scanners, route-management software, and mobile applications to track deliveries.
• Handling specimens correctly, including labeling, storage, and required documentation.
• Following DOT, HIPAA, OSHA, and company safety procedures at all times.

Candidate profile

• A valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving history.
• A motor vehicle record showing no more than two moving violations in the last 36 months, with none in the most recent 12 months.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Careful attention to detail and accurate record-keeping habits.
• Ability to work on your own and solve route-related issues independently.
• Comfort using mobile devices and scanning tools.
• Capability to lift up to 30 lbs and remain active for much of the shift.
• Experience in medical, courier, logistics, or customer service work is preferred.

Compensation and benefits

The pay starts at $18.00+ per hour. There may also be a shift differential of 10% for some or all hours worked on second shift, and 15% for some or all hours worked on third shift; details are provided if an offer is extended. Pay decisions are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and any applicable certifications, along with market and business factors. Qualified hires may also be considered for an annual performance bonus.
