Role Overview

We invite applications for the position of Medical Claims Assessor to join our proactive Medical Claims team. This role demands precise and prompt assessment and management of medical claims with empathy, transparency, and an outstanding client and adviser service ethos.

Applicants with prior insurance and medical claims experience or those ready for new challenges in this area are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver transparent and clear claims decisions while guiding clients and advisers through the claims process.
  • Manage the entire claims lifecycle including data entry, assessment, documentation, and payment processing.
  • Ensure prompt acquisition and analysis of medical information for accurate decision-making.
  • Follow established procedures for appropriate referral of claims.
  • Support team objectives through collaboration and contribution to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain precise and traceable claim documentation within internal systems.
  • Keep abreast of Partners Life’s products, insurance processes, and claims philosophy.

Candidate Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in insurance and medical claims handling.
  • Strong skills in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Excellent command of written and oral communication with a high standard of correspondence.
  • Customer-centric approach, managing relationships professionally and empathetically.
  • Capability to manage workload independently within a cooperative team environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring compliance and accurate record-keeping.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel, and aptitude for acquiring new technology skills.
