The opportunity supports ongoing and future remote consulting assignments involving the creation and review of healthcare administrative materials, domain-specific quality checks, professional communication, peer feedback, and strong project execution. Selected consultants will draw on real-world medical office experience to develop and assess content tied to routine healthcare administrative needs.

Core Work Areas

Consultants may contribute across the following areas:

  • Building professional materials connected to common requests handled by medical secretaries and administrative assistants.
  • Preparing or evaluating content related to scheduling, patient intake, referrals, record requests, provider messaging, office correspondence, and general healthcare workflow support.
  • Using practical experience from healthcare administration to keep outputs accurate, realistic, and professionally suitable.
  • Maintaining a high level of precision in written content, templates, and structured responses.

Peer Review and Quality Enhancement

  • Assess peer-created work for clarity, completeness, correct grammar, spelling, and professional presentation.
  • Spot opportunities to improve accuracy, usefulness, and relevance to healthcare administration.
  • Offer concise written feedback that helps strengthen overall deliverable quality.
  • Apply consistent review criteria to all submitted work.

Communication and Documentation

  • Produce clear, polished, and well-organised written outputs.
  • Format materials so they are easy to follow and appropriate for healthcare office settings.
  • Use sound judgment and discretion when handling healthcare-related scenarios.
  • Help maintain high-quality project delivery through dependable, detail-focused review work.

Ideal Background

Strong candidates typically bring at least 4 years of professional experience in a role such as medical secretary, administrative assistant, healthcare administrative assistant, medical office coordinator, patient services coordinator, clinic administrator, or a similar position.

Experience in a medical office, clinic, hospital, specialty practice, or comparable healthcare support environment is highly relevant, especially where the work involved handling common administrative requests.

Education and Training

Academic or professional training in healthcare administration, medical office administration, medical assisting, business administration, or a related field can be beneficial. Equivalent work experience may also be considered based on project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, scheduling software, medical records processes, referral coordination, or patient communication tools.
  • Experience supporting insurance-related requests, prior authorisation tasks, billing coordination, or review of healthcare documentation.
  • Comfort with privacy-aware communication and standard professional healthcare office practices.
  • Experience producing templates, written replies, checklists, or other administrative support materials.
  • Availability for about 30 hours per week, with the possibility of increasing to 40 hours depending on project demand.

Contract and Work Arrangement

  • This is an independent contractor engagement.
  • The work is fully remote and offers flexible scheduling.
  • Qualified professionals may need to be located in approved project regions depending on assignment needs.
  • Expected workload is roughly 30 hours weekly, with flexibility to rise to 40 hours based on scope.
  • Estimated assignment length is 3 to 4 weeks, with the possibility of extension.
  • Compensation is paid weekly through Stripe or Wise.
  • Projects can be extended, shortened, or modified depending on requirements and performance.
  • No work will involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.

Why Consider This Role

  • Use your healthcare administrative experience in structured remote consulting work.
  • Contribute to high-quality administrative deliverables and peer review materials.
  • Take on flexible assignments aligned with your medical office background.
