Role Overview
The Medical Account Manager will serve as the primary liaison for the optical and medical channels within their assigned territory in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The focus includes nurturing strong, long-lasting client relationships, negotiating contracts, managing account performance, and providing timely communication about company plans and new products or promotions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead contact for all optical/medical channel matters within your territory.
- Develop and maintain enduring customer relationships across all assigned channels.
- Manage annual contract negotiations and monitor customer performance quarterly and annually.
- Communicate Johnson & Johnson’s quarterly action plans effectively to customers.
- Inform customers about product updates, promotions, and handle inquiries regarding delivery or quality.
- Plan client calls thoughtfully based on their developmental needs using SF.com for tracking.
- Input visit data accurately into SF.com or reporting formats.
- Contribute to business plan development for the assigned territory.
- Engage in training and educational courses for professional growth as guided by the sales management.
- Collaborate with fellow Account Managers to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
- Ensure availability of necessary resources to achieve team objectives.
- Submit call reports and update plans regularly in SF.com.
- Provide other reports and operational information as required.
- Deliver outstanding and considerate customer service internally and externally.
- Develop key opinion leaders (KOLs) within the field.
Qualifications & Requirements
- University degree, ideally in Optometry or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Up to 2 years of relevant account management experience.
- Experience in the optical industry.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
- Self-driven and capable of independent work while seeking guidance when needed.
- Persuasive, motivated to drive sales patiently and persistently by building client relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM tools like SF.com.
- Strong communication and presentation capabilities.
