About The Celtics Soccer Club
The Celtics Soccer Club is dedicated to player development across all levels, from beginner programs to elite competition. We foster a positive club environment where staff, coaches, players, and families collaborate to create significant experiences and lasting relationships through soccer.
Position Overview
The Media, Marketing & Facilities Operations Intern will collaborate closely with club leadership to support marketing initiatives, create social media content, assist with community events, manage communications, and oversee facility operations. This internship offers practical experience in sports marketing, digital media, communications, event management, and facility administration within a growing youth soccer organization. It is particularly well-suited for students pursuing degrees in Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Recreation Management, Event Management, Digital Media, or related fields.
Responsibilities
- Assist with club-wide communications concerning programs, events, registrations, and deadlines.
- Support marketing efforts for registration campaigns, tryout promotions, and events.
- Design visual materials such as graphics, flyers, and presentations using tools like Canva.
- Aid in email marketing campaigns and member communications.
- Research current marketing trends and propose innovative engagement strategies.
- Contribute to the development and execution of seasonal marketing campaigns.
- Capture photos and videos at practices, games, tournaments, camps, and club events.
- Develop engaging content for social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Assist with website updates and content management.
- Help maintain team calendars and digital communication channels.
- Organize and manage the club's photo and video archive.
- Produce highlight videos, player spotlights, and promotional content.
- Provide real-time updates for club announcements, events, and schedule changes.
- Assist in the planning and execution of community and family events such as Appreciation Day, TrainWreck, Pet Parade, club matches, and special programs.
- Represent the club at community outreach events and local activities.
- Support collaborations with schools, businesses, and community organizations.
- Help foster positive experiences for players, families, and visitors.
- Assist with sponsorship activation and community engagement initiatives.
- Support field setup and breakdown for practices, games, camps, and club events.
- Ensure facilities are maintained in a clean, organized, safe, and ready state for programming.
- Assist with equipment inventory management and organization.
- Support goal movement, equipment upkeep, and field preparation.
- Coordinate with coaches and staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Monitor facility needs and report any maintenance issues to club leadership.
Learning Opportunities
Interns will gain practical experience in sports marketing and brand management, social media strategy and content creation, photography and videography for sports organizations, event planning and execution, community engagement and partnership development, facility and event operations, digital communications and website management, and leadership and organizational management.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Must be eligible to receive academic credit for the internship.
- Possess strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate an interest in sports, marketing, communications, event management, or facility operations.
- Willingness to be available for some evening and weekend events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with design tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or CapCut.
- Previous experience in photography, videography, or graphic design.
- Familiarity with various social media platforms and content creation techniques.
- An interest in soccer and youth sports.
- Experience assisting with events, athletics, recreation, or community programs.
