About the role
This opportunity is with Mercor, a company that connects highly skilled creative and technical professionals with leading AI research labs. The team is headquartered in San Francisco and is backed by investors such as Benchmark, General Catalyst, Peter Thiel, Adam D'Angelo, Larry Summers, and Jack Dorsey.
The opening is for a Media / Journalism / Communications Evaluator working remotely on a contract basis. Compensation is set at $80 to $120 per hour.
What you'll do
- Assess AI-generated content using role-specific quality standards.
- Spot mistakes related to accuracy, presentation, and aesthetics.
- Write feedback that is organized, specific, and easy to act on.
- Partner with AI research teams to strengthen training data and support better model outcomes.
- Operate independently in an asynchronous setting and complete work within deadlines.
What we're looking for
- At least 5 years of professional experience in media, journalism, or communications.
- Strong command of English, either native-level or fully professional.
- Advanced ability with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, with particular strength in Slides, Google Slides, or PowerPoint.
Preferred background
- An advanced degree such as a Master's or higher from a well-regarded institution is preferred.
