Position Overview
We are looking for a competent Mechanical Technician to join the maintenance team. This position is responsible for managing the upkeep and operational integrity of machinery within our PET packaging, molding, and thermoforming production lines. The ideal individual will bring practical experience with these machinery types to ensure optimal operations and reduce downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on PET packaging machines, injection molding machines, thermoforming equipment, and associated auxiliary systems.
- Rapidly diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical malfunctions.
- Perform regular inspections to verify efficient and safe equipment function.
- Support machine setup processes, including mold changes and production line adjustments.
- Work side by side with production teams to decrease downtime and uphold production deadlines.
- Keep detailed logs and records of maintenance activities.
- Observe safety procedures and company regulations strictly.
Qualifications
- Diploma or B-Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 3 to 5 years of practical maintenance experience within the PET packaging, molding, or thermoforming sectors.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical assemblies, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Experienced with PET blow molding, injection molding, and thermoforming machinery.
- Knowledgeable about preventive maintenance programs and maintenance management software.
- Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
- In-depth understanding of industrial safety standards and best practices in manufacturing settings.
