Job Overview
The Mechanical Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery and proper maintenance of equipment to meet operational requirements. This role focuses on enhancing maintenance efficiency and reducing nonproductive time for assets within the Maintenance Base.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance on assigned equipment in alignment with the maintenance program and reliability-centered maintenance strategies, utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain transactional accuracy within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems by documenting materials, labor costs, equipment maintenance history, movements, work orders, and parts usage.
- Adhere to all standards prescribed by the TLM Product Line.
- Engage actively in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing asset utilization and reducing the cost of service delivery (CoSD) within the Maintenance Base.
- Contribute to efforts aimed at minimizing asset turnaround time by addressing downtime caused by maintenance, parts issues, repair authorization delays, failures, and work-in-process bottlenecks.
- Support projects designed to boost the productivity and efficiency of Maintenance Technicians.
- Implement CoSD-related projects such as planning repairs and promoting the reuse of parts.
- Participate in assigned failure investigations to identify and mitigate causes.
- Comply with all requirements outlined by the TLM Competency Management System.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess 2 to 5 years of experience working in a workshop environment.
- Hold a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Exhibit strong communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Hands-on experience with pressure testing is preferable.
