Job description
Job Objective
Oversee the safe and effective execution of preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, and repairs for all fixed and mobile mechanical systems and equipment at ADNOC Aviation Depots located in civil airports across the UAE, complying with Aviation standards and manufacturer guidelines while ensuring optimal use of manpower and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance, repair, and servicing tasks for all mechanical systems including pipelines, valves, pumps, measuring devices, process facilities, air compressors, and storage tanks, adhering to JIG, company, aviation, technical, safety, and environmental standards.
- Review and delegate daily work orders from Aviation Fuelling stations and storage sites; collaborate with the Team Manager to schedule and execute necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Coordinate with end users for repairs, replacements, modifications, calibrations, and overhauls conducted by tradesmen to ensure smooth progression of scheduled maintenance duties.
- Ensure routine inspections and scheduled maintenance of pumps, pipelines, storage tanks, air compressors, generators, and fuel dispensing units; monitor for corrosion, assist with anti-corrosive measures, maintain records, and track equipment condition continually.
- Guarantee swift response and restoration of all equipment breakdowns within the supervisor's area.
- Enforce issuance of work permits and strict adherence to safety guidelines before and throughout all work phases.
- Oversee major mechanical equipment overhauls, tests, and calibrations in accordance with established procedures and standards.
- Investigate and report recurring mechanical defects to the supervisor.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader.
- Prepare requisitions for spare parts specific to the area of responsibility.
- Verify store requisitions for accuracy, including correct part numbers and specification compliance, and monitor stock levels.
- Ensure all work complies with Aviation Operations Standards and documented work instructions.
- Maintain and update all relevant documents as per Document Control Procedures.
- Supervise general maintenance and repairs in ADNOC facilities at all civil airport locations and strategic customer sites, including carpentry and painting, carried out by third-party contractors.
- Promptly report significant civil or general maintenance needs to team leader and department management.
- Support the development and implementation of methods, controls, and standards to optimize maintenance work execution.
- Recommend enhancements to work processes and stay informed on latest technical standards and methodologies.
- Analyze labor hours and costs related to maintenance and modifications to ensure efficient use of manpower and materials in scheduled programs.
Qualifications and Expertise
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum five years' experience in mechanical maintenance within an aviation fueling company.
- Advanced knowledge and expertise in aviation equipment and vehicles.
- Proficiency in English language communication.
- Possess a valid UAE driving license.
