Job description
Role overview
This position is for a Mechanical Estimator who will prepare tenders for a range of projects and assess the cost of active work. The role calls for someone with a strong grasp of the Irish construction market and prior experience in a Mechanical or M&E setting.
Key responsibilities
- Keep up to date on the company’s competitive strengths within the sector to support tendering and bid preparation.
- Investigate and correct pricing gaps by gathering relevant data and reviewing it carefully.
- Request and compare precise quotations for materials and systems so that project costs are estimated accurately.
Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor’s degree in construction, quantity surveying, or equivalent hands-on experience is required.
- Applicants should have a strong working knowledge of fundamental measuring tools and related systems.
- It is important to be able to interpret drawings and plans.
- Previous construction experience of 1 to 3 years is preferred.
