We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical and Piping Estimator to contribute to our impactful Life Sciences and Data Center projects based in Frankfurt.

Key Responsibilities

• Create conceptual budgets and quantify construction documents to deliver accurate cost estimates from early design to final construction phases.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bid proposals, and financial assessments independently while exploring value engineering alternatives.
• Provide technical expertise in Mechanical and Plumbing systems to ensure precision in cost evaluation and scope review, including coordination with other MEP systems like HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, sprinkler, and control systems (BMS/BAS & EPMS).
• Manage communication with MEP subcontractors, internal teams, trade partners, equipment suppliers, owners, and consultants to synchronize estimates, scope, and execution strategies.
• Collaborate with the preconstruction team to incorporate MEP cost estimates into total project budgets, identify cost-saving options, and assist in risk assessment related to pricing, lead times, materials, and subcontractors.
• Lead procurement activities such as tendering, market analysis, contract negotiations, and supplier selection to secure optimal and competitive bids.
• Work with design teams to ensure project intent is captured accurately, identify challenges or gaps, and develop solutions that support project success.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Completed apprenticeship or relevant engineering or related degree.
• Fluency in both German and English is essential.
• At least 5 years of pertinent experience in Mechanical and Plumbing cost estimating, particularly for technology and life science sectors, including familiarity with local standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in construction cost estimation software, mass calculations, CAD, and MS Office applications.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Capability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team across European locations.
• Excellent communication skills to present cost analyses and engage project teams and clients efficiently.
• Ability to manage multiple preconstruction tasks and meet deadlines with strong organizational skills.
