Role Overview
The MBBS Doctor will be responsible for providing complete outpatient and inpatient clinical care. This includes conducting patient histories, physical examinations, diagnosing, and managing common health conditions. Duties involve prescribing appropriate medications, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, keeping meticulous medical records, and collaborating effectively with nursing and allied health staff to ensure coordinated care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive clinical assessments and treatment plans for patients.
- Prescribe medications and manage investigations appropriately.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation.
- Work closely with healthcare team members to ensure integrated patient management.
- Participate actively in emergency care, clinical rounds, and follow-up visits.
- Adhere strictly to clinical protocols and ethical standards.
- Be present on-site throughout assigned shifts and engage in rotational duties as needed, including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Degree of MBBS from a recognized medical institution with valid registration from the relevant medical council.
- Proficient clinical assessment and diagnostic capabilities managing common and minor emergency cases.
- Familiarity with standard treatment protocols, infection control, and safe prescription practices.
- Effective communication skills to interact empathetically with patients, their families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to maintain detailed medical records, using either electronic systems or paper-based formats.
- Strong ethical conduct, maintaining patient confidentiality and commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Availability to work full-time on-site in Beltangadi, including willingness to participate in weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations.
- Prior experience in clinical or hospital environments desirable; knowledge of local languages and additional certifications in emergency or family medicine advantageous.
