Position overview
The Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz is looking to fill a mason position within the Construction, Building Maintenance and Operations department of its Central Service Unit. The role supports the operational upkeep of the buildings and technical systems used by the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. These facilities must meet statutory, contractual, and conceptually required standards so museum operations can run smoothly.

- Start date: as soon as possible
- Contract type: fixed-term replacement due to illness, initially for one year with the possibility of extension
- Weekly working time: 39 hours; part-time arrangements are possible
- Pay: up to EG 6 TVöD Bund, depending on qualifications
- Work location: Museumsinsel, Berlin
Key tasks
- Carry out masonry, plastering, concrete, and drywall work for minor conversions, new builds, or extensions
- Independently perform paving and slab installation work on paths and roads in outdoor areas
- Complete tiling work after maintenance needs in sanitary, kitchen, or laboratory areas
- Handle scaffolding work across all sites as required for the technical services team
- Support other trades with cross-functional work before or after their tasks
Profile and requirements
- Completed vocational training as a mason or a comparable qualification, or equivalent skills and experience relevant to the role
- Experience working on listed or heritage-protected structures
- Practical background in drywall construction and in laying tiles and slabs
- Good command of German
