The role sits at the center of coordination between suppliers, procurement, engineering, and project teams. You will track order movement, spot risks early, and work with stakeholders to remove delays before they affect the schedule.
This opportunity suits someone who understands long-lead equipment, vendor manufacturing workflows, and the logistics challenges common in oil and gas projects. You will provide clear visibility of order status, support adherence to contractual delivery commitments, and help protect overall project schedule performance.
About you
We welcome candidates who bring ambition, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset. Our workplace values people who want to develop, contribute to major energy projects, and grow within an inclusive and supportive environment.
We are committed to fair opportunity for all applicants and support a diverse workforce. As a disability-friendly employer, reasonable adjustments can be arranged to help candidates perform at their best during the recruitment process.
Purpose and values
Our focus is to help deliver the energy the world needs in a responsible way. We value performance, agility, and innovative thinking, and we expect every team member to contribute with energy, accountability, and teamwork.
What you will do
- Track and drive purchase order progress for oil and gas equipment and bulk materials so delivery aligns with EPC project schedules.
- Follow supplier progress through engineering, procurement, fabrication, inspection, and shipping stages.
- Assess vendor schedules and progress updates to confirm alignment with agreed milestones.
- Work proactively with suppliers to reduce delays in engineering outputs, material purchasing, and fabrication work.
- Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, logistics, and construction teams to prioritize urgent or critical deliveries.
- Spot delivery risks early and work with suppliers to implement corrective actions.
- Carry out supplier visits, shop expediting activities, and progress meetings when needed.
- Make sure vendor documents such as drawings, datasheets, and inspection reports are submitted on time.
- Maintain expediting reports and highlight delayed or critical items to project stakeholders.
- Support inspection and logistics coordination to keep material movement to site running smoothly.
- Ensure all activities follow contract requirements, technical specifications, and oil and gas industry standards.
- Keep accurate expediting records in ERP or project systems.
- Contribute to supplier performance reviews, especially around delivery reliability and responsiveness.
- Handle additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in expediting, procurement, or supply chain roles within oil and gas EPC projects.
- Practical understanding of manufacturing processes for items such as pressure vessels, piping, valves, rotating equipment, and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of EPC project stages and how material criticality affects execution.
- Experience handling long-lead items and working with international suppliers.
- Familiarity with expediting methods, inspection coordination, and logistics interfaces.
- Comfort using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong ability in communication, negotiation, and organization.
- Capability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with schedule pressure.
Behavioural expectations
You should demonstrate a strong sense of accountability and urgency when managing critical deliveries that can affect project timelines. The role also calls for cross-functional collaboration, support for new initiatives, guidance to junior colleagues, and a continuous focus on improving efficiency in expediting and supply chain performance.
Diversity and inclusion
We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds, cultures, abilities, and identities. The organisation is committed to inclusive employment practices, flexible working arrangements, and employee support networks that help people thrive.
