Position Overview

The Material Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring production stays on track through effective materials management processes. This role involves overseeing inventory accuracy and coordinating all material-related activities within a specific production zone.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all materials-related functions within an assigned production area on the floor.
  • Maintain precise inventory records and manage reject materials within your area.
  • Keep work center data complete, accurate, and current at all times.
  • Effectively communicate job schedules to floor personnel using dispatch and Kanban systems.
  • Monitor production operations to protect the integrity of job orders and inventory files.
  • Conduct daily cycle counts and cell audits to verify inventory accuracy and share findings through reports.
  • Provide support by monitoring, scheduling, and expediting needed parts to assist production.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or an equivalent certification is required; an Associate's degree in a related field is advantageous.
  • Preferably possess 1 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing or inventory management roles.
  • Capable of adapting to rapid changes and thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced work setting.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, able to convey instructions clearly, resolve disputes, identify core problems, and document work instructions effectively.
  • Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel, along with solid keyboard skills.
