Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced physiotherapist to join as a Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) Tutor. The role involves providing in-depth academic guidance and clinical skills training to MPT students, helping them grasp complex physiotherapy concepts and prepare for professional practice. This position is ideal for an individual with a strong physiotherapy background and a dedication to student-centered teaching approaches.
Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in key MPT topics such as Biomechanics and Kinesiology, Neurological Physiotherapy, Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Cardiopulmonary Sciences, and Paediatrics and Geriatrics.
- Create tailored lesson plans and adapt instructional methods based on students' individual learning styles and needs.
- Incorporate diverse teaching techniques like problem-based learning, case studies, and simulations to enhance understanding and clinical decision-making.
- Develop supplementary study materials including guides, practice exams, and educational videos.
- Evaluate students’ strengths and weaknesses to identify areas for improvement and provide detailed, constructive feedback on assignments and practical performance.
- Support students in cultivating effective study habits, examination strategies, and critical analysis skills.
- Monitor and report students’ academic progress to relevant university authorities or guardians as necessary.
- Demonstrate and oversee clinical skills training in controlled environments such as skill labs.
- Guide students on therapeutic techniques, patient interaction, and professional ethics.
- Facilitate reflection and discussion sessions encouraging peer feedback on clinical experiences.
Eligibility and Qualifications
- Possess a Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) degree from a recognized institution.
- Have at least 50–55% marks in the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) course, with a completed mandatory six-month internship.
- Hold relevant clinical or teaching experience in the physiotherapy field.
Preferred qualifications include a PhD or an advanced MPT degree and experience teaching at university or college level.
