Job description
About Luzern eCommerce
Luzern eCommerce has been helping ambitious brands grow online since 2003. The business works with major global names such as On Running, Wella, Nestlé, Mattel, Panasonic, HTC, and Philips, supporting their expansion across Amazon, other leading marketplaces, branded webstores, and social channels.
With strong investment behind it, the company is focused on scaling its presence in global eCommerce. Its team combines creativity, AI-enabled technology, and commercial thinking to improve growth, margins, and customer experience.
This is a chance to join a fast-moving tech-led retail environment where ideas are welcomed and individual contribution matters.
Role Overview
Luzern eCommerce is seeking a commercially aware and imaginative eCommerce Content & SEO Executive. The role suits someone who understands how persuasive product copy, marketplace optimisation, and D2C content work together to improve visibility, engagement, and conversions.
SEO is central to the position. You will take ownership of content optimisation across marketplace product detail pages, with Amazon as the key focus, while also supporting direct-to-consumer product pages. The role requires someone who can anticipate changes in search behaviour and platform algorithms, then turn those insights into stronger content performance.
SEO Strategy and Innovation
- Set and drive the SEO content approach for marketplace listings, especially Amazon, as well as DTC product pages, keeping pages continuously improved for search visibility and sales performance.
- Track changes in marketplace and search engine algorithms, spotting opportunities early and adjusting tactics before competitors respond.
- Experiment with new content structures, keyword approaches, and page formats to lift rankings and overall performance.
- Carry out keyword research and competitor reviews to guide content choices across channels.
- Use SEO tools and reporting data to measure performance and turn insights into practical improvements.
- Develop a solid working understanding of marketplace-specific ranking signals.
Copywriting and Content Creation
- Create persuasive, search-optimised product titles, descriptions, and bullet points that appeal to both algorithms and shoppers.
- Shape copy to suit different formats, including marketplace pages, DTC PDPs, and campaign content, while keeping tone and brand voice consistent.
- Blend SEO priorities with strong writing quality so the content performs well and remains engaging to read.
- Build a deep understanding of client brands, product ranges, and target customers to write with accuracy and relevance.
- Test content changes and compare results to identify what drives better outcomes.
Content Optimisation and Page Management
- Take responsibility for the quality of product pages across marketplaces and DTC channels, including copy, images, structured data, and enhanced content such as A+ Content and Brand Stores.
- Carry out regular reviews of marketplace content for current and prospective clients to improve standards and shape best-practice strategies.
- Upload and refresh product listings, visuals, and page copy across eCommerce platforms, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the brand at all times.
- Maintain and improve content across key marketplace accounts, keeping presentation and data quality at a high standard.
Reporting and Collaboration
- Monitor content and SEO results and share clear updates, insights, and recommendations with the wider team.
- Work with internal stakeholders and clients to collect briefs, product details, and campaign requirements.
- Keep trackers, calendars, and documentation up to date so work stays organised and on schedule.
- Assist with general eCommerce administration when needed.
Requirements
Essential experience and knowledge
- Strong Amazon-specific SEO knowledge and familiarity with best practices for marketplace content creation.
- Understanding of agentic commerce and how content should be adapted for AI-driven search.
- Demonstrated copywriting skill, backed by examples or a portfolio of eCommerce or product-focused work.
- Practical SEO knowledge beyond the basics, with the ability to apply it strategically in an eCommerce setting.
- Hands-on experience improving marketplace PDPs, ideally on Amazon, with awareness of how marketplace search differs from Google.
- Confidence using CMS platforms and eCommerce systems.
- Ability to interpret performance data and use it to guide content decisions.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail when handling product information and copy.
- Good organisational ability, with the capacity to manage several priorities and meet deadlines without close supervision.
Desirable experience
- Experience with SEO tools such as Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of Amazon Seller Central or Vendor Central, including enhanced content formats like A+ Content and Brand Stores.
- Exposure to product information management systems.
- Understanding of DTC platforms such as Shopify, Magento, or similar.
- Basic image editing skills using tools like Figma or Canva.
- Experience working with clients or across multiple brands.
Personal attributes
- You value strong writing as much as strong rankings.
- You are proactive, curious, and keep up with changes in SEO and marketplace trends.
- You understand that content must deliver commercial results, not just look polished.
- You are organised and methodical, while still keeping the bigger business picture in mind.
- You can explain SEO choices clearly to people who are not specialists.
- You work well with others but are also comfortable managing your own workload.
- You have a genuine interest in eCommerce, retail, and digital marketing.
Benefits
- Competitive pay package with benefits.
- Annual leave that supports work-life balance, along with flexible working arrangements.
- Access to learning and development opportunities to build your skills.
- A friendly, inclusive, and collaborative workplace culture.
- Employee Assistance Programme support.
- Quarterly social events sponsored by the company to celebrate achievements and strengthen team connections.
Equal Opportunity
The employer welcomes applications from all suitably qualified candidates and is committed to equal opportunity. Reasonable adjustments can be provided during the recruitment process if needed.
