Job description
Overview
Amazon's marketplace hosts over 300 million customers who browse and purchase both Amazon and third-party seller products daily. Since 2000, Amazon has offered individuals and companies of all sizes a platform to sell their products, which now constitute more than half of all units sold on Amazon. Currently, expansion markets are accelerating their growth, creating a dynamic environment for selling partners.
The Strategic Account Services Team supports sellers by providing strategic consultancy focused on data-driven and customer-centric approaches. This includes assistance on international expansion, portfolio optimization, fulfillment options, product presentation, advertising, promotions, and brand development. Additionally, operational challenges faced by selling partners are addressed.
This role is focused on sellers from countries without a dedicated Amazon marketplace, helping them sell cross-border into established European marketplaces. We seek a Bulgarian-speaking Marketplace Consultant to enhance engagement with Bulgarian sellers, strengthen community ties, and bring cultural and linguistic expertise for personalized consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of 12–14 Bulgarian selling partners independently, developing tailored strategies, managing expectations, and communications.
- Conduct detailed business analyses utilizing multiple analytical tools to generate actionable insights and recommendations based on customer data.
- Provide comprehensive consultancy leveraging Amazon’s solutions to help selling partners identify opportunities and evaluate business impact.
- Support execution of strategic plans and resolve operational issues by providing ongoing assistance and addressing ad-hoc queries.
- Develop strong, trust-based relationships with selling partners and internal stakeholders through consistent results and collaboration.
- Educate sellers about Amazon’s services and updates to enhance their understanding and effectiveness selling on the platform.
- Identify and recruit prospective selling partners aligned with program goals and needs.
- Conduct monthly business reviews presenting performance analyses and strategic discussions with selling partners.
- Specialize in a specific domain within the service organization to support colleagues and improve internal processes or tools.
- Adapt standardized processes to meet the specific requirements of Bulgarian sellers by leveraging deep knowledge of the local marketplace and community.
Candidate Profile
- Strong proficiency in English communication, both written and spoken, to engage effectively across all organizational levels.
- Proven experience in data analytics, especially using advanced Excel techniques to interpret and present data-driven insights.
- Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or related discipline from a prestigious university.
- Excellent presentation capabilities to inform and influence diverse stakeholder groups.
- Preferred experience includes consulting at a top-tier firm, key account management, advertising sales, B2B, digital retail/ecommerce, business development, digital marketing, brand management, or supply chain management.
- Strong skills in strategy creation and implementation are desirable.
- Track record of independently managing client relationships, especially executive-level engagement.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting effectively.
