About Meridian Waste and Opportunity
Meridian Waste, an expanding environmental services company headquartered in Charlotte, NC, seeks a full-time Marketing Specialist to join their collaborative corporate marketing team. This role supports revenue growth by executing marketing campaigns, managing digital platforms, and collaborating with sales and external partners to drive qualified lead generation. The position offers a chance to develop marketing skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where diverse projects and shifting priorities are the norm.
Work Environment and Schedule
- Onsite full-time position at Meridian Waste's Corporate Headquarters, Charlotte, NC.
- Standard Monday to Friday schedule.
- Travel up to 20% for market visits, trade shows, company meetings, training, and other business activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute marketing activities that bolster sales growth across various markets.
- Coordinate closely with Director of Marketing and Sales Managers to develop and implement lead-generating campaigns.
- Generate targeted prospect lists using HubSpot, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other data tools.
- Perform market and competitive research to inform marketing and business development efforts.
- Support marketing strategies for new market entries and strategic growth initiatives.
- Create marketing materials and campaign assets aligned with sales needs.
- Assist in planning and executing trade shows, customer events, and other promotional efforts.
- Develop, deploy, and optimize Google Ads and various paid digital advertising campaigns, including retargeting for brand visibility and lead generation.
- Oversee website content updates, landing page creation, and enhancements by coordinating with development partners.
- Contribute to SEO/AEO initiatives to enhance online presence and monitor website and campaign performance using analytics tools.
- Build and manage email marketing campaigns, audience lists, forms, workflows, and related assets within HubSpot, ensuring data accuracy.
- Support social media strategy execution, content scheduling, community engagement monitoring, and performance reporting.
- Create digital marketing assets, sales presentations, and promotional content consistent with brand standards.
- Prepare marketing performance reports, monitoring key metrics and identifying opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Care, Operations, and external vendors to support and coordinate marketing deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, B2B marketing, or marketing operations.
- Proficiency managing Google Ads and digital advertising campaigns.
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot or comparable CRM and marketing automation platforms.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and SEO best practices.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting B2B sales teams.
- Familiarity with Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar prospecting tools.
- Experience coordinating website projects with external agencies or vendors.
- Ability to create marketing reports using Looker Studio or similar reporting tools.
- Proven skills in digital campaign optimization through testing and analysis.
- Background in waste management, environmental services, construction, industrial services, or related sectors is advantageous.
Compensation
Starting salary at $70,000 annually, dependent on experience.
