Job description
About Water.org
Water.org is an international nonprofit headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, dedicated to expanding access to safe water and sanitation worldwide. With a mission rooted in the belief that water can unlock a better future, the organization has helped improve millions of lives through market-based financial solutions to the global water crisis. It was founded by Gary White and Matt Damon.
Across the globe, 1 in 4 people still lack safe water and 2 in 5 do not have a safe toilet. Water.org works every day to change that reality by making water and sanitation safer, more accessible, and more affordable for communities everywhere.
About Get Blue
Get Blue is a global movement being launched by Water.org to help bring safe water and sanitation to millions. The initiative is designed to connect brands, creators, and consumers so that everyday actions can create measurable impact. It builds on Water.org’s proven, scalable model by integrating giving into products and experiences through partnerships with companies such as Gap, Amazon, and Starbucks.
Role Overview
As Marketing Manager for Get Blue, you will shape the campaign’s strategic direction and underlying messaging. You will work closely with the Marketing Operations Manager, who leads execution, and alongside the Head of Get Blue to guide agencies, coordinate cross-channel marketing, and build co-marketing programs with major global brands.
This is a high-visibility, strategic position for a marketer who can recognize cultural moments, tell powerful stories, and develop campaigns that succeed with large corporate partners.
Key Responsibilities
You will help define the campaign strategy and creative direction, turning fundraising and awareness objectives into clear briefs that guide internal and external teams. You will also lead integrated campaigns across social, paid media, public relations, and creator channels while keeping the human impact of water access central to the narrative.
In partner marketing, you will shape co-branded campaigns with major companies, embedding giving into retail, e-commerce, media, and digital customer experiences. You will create go-to-market plans across social, influencer, paid, and PR channels, identify partnership and activation opportunities, and support pitch development with campaign concepts and creative frameworks.
Collaboration is a major part of the role. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to launch campaigns efficiently, coordinate with agencies and external partners to deliver strong creative and media plans, and ensure all initiatives remain aligned with broader marketing efforts and brand standards.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or a related discipline, along with 7 or more years of progressive experience in brand, integrated, or partner marketing. You should have a track record of delivering multi-channel campaigns across paid, owned, and earned media.
Experience managing co-marketing programs with large corporate partners is important, including the ability to write creative briefs and lead agency relationships. Strong storytelling, presentation, and writing skills are essential, along with clear English communication in both spoken and written form. You should also be comfortable using Microsoft 365 tools such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
What will help you stand out: experience creating campaigns that connect brands and consumers in meaningful ways; familiarity with real-world customer journeys across retail, digital, content, or product experiences; a mix of strategic thinking and hands-on execution; and a strong motivation to use marketing for social impact.
Travel may be required up to 25% for domestic and international trips.
Authorization to work in the country where the role is posted is required before employment begins. The role is intended to be indefinite in length.
Benefits
This position includes a base salary range of $105,000 to $120,000, with flexibility depending on skills, certifications, location, and qualifications. It is also eligible for an annual incentive plan of up to 15%.
Full-time benefits include medical and dental insurance, life and disability coverage, a retirement program, paid time off, paid holidays, and other benefits. Compensation may also be reviewed periodically for merit and incentive adjustments based on both organizational and individual performance.
