Job description
Overview
This is a permanent, full-time marketing role based in Manchester. The position focuses on leading promotional activity for Medlock Square’s lineup of visitor experiences, including the Manchester City Stadium Tour, a newly launched immersive Museum Experience, and a new roof walk attraction at the Etihad Stadium featuring a sky walk, zipline, and abseil.
You will be working at the centre of one of Manchester’s most exciting new leisure destinations, helping to grow visitor footfall, deepen audience engagement, and support commercial growth so the area can thrive as a year-round destination for tourism and leisure.
About the Destination
Medlock Square is being developed as a major new destination in Manchester, situated between the Etihad Stadium and Co-op Live. It brings together food, entertainment, experiences, and events, and represents a new stage in the development of the Etihad Campus as a place to visit throughout the year.
Manchester City is a football club with deep roots in East Manchester, founded in 1880. The club’s identity is built on resilience, belief, and unity, with its success shaped by the moments shared with fans worldwide.
Role Summary
As Marketing Manager for Attractions, you will plan and deliver joined-up marketing activity across several channels and business areas. Working alongside the Head of Medlock Square Marketing & Activations, you will be responsible for ensuring campaigns meet a high creative standard and connect with a broad audience that includes City supporters, tourists from overseas, and visitors from the region.
Your work will cover digital, CRM, social media, web, video, and on-site channels, supporting seasonal offers, destination-led campaigns, and commercial initiatives. You will also manage campaign schedules, creative assets, approvals, and operational details to ensure delivery is timely and of a consistently high standard.
Collaboration will be a major part of the position. You will partner with operations, CRM, content, social, creative, data, and insights teams, as well as external agencies when needed. In addition, you will contribute to campaign reporting, post-campaign analysis, and the application of performance data to strengthen future activity.
