About the Role
Hamilton City Council is seeking a Marketing Executive to join the Destinations group on a 12-month maternity leave contract. This role is crucial in enhancing the public profile and reputation of H3, which manages key city attractions and event venues including Hamilton Gardens, Te Taonga Whare o Waikato Museum & Gallery, Te Kaaroro Nature Precinct, and H3 venues (Claudelands Events Centre, FMG Stadium Waikato, and Seddon Park). You will play a pivotal role in shaping H3's brand presence, communications, and marketing efforts, driving engagement, inquiries, and bookings for business events and venue promotions.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead marketing and communications initiatives for the H3 brand and its Business Events portfolio.
- Design and implement comprehensive campaigns, content, and collateral across both digital and traditional marketing channels.
- Develop and maintain clear, consistent messaging and compelling narratives that align with H3's brand identity.
- Manage social media platforms, website content, and email marketing campaigns, including database management.
- Collaborate closely with the Business Development team to support lead generation, booking processes, and revenue targets.
- Utilize data analytics and insights to track campaign performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

- A commercial mindset with a clear focus on achieving measurable outcomes.
- Previous experience in the events, business events, or tourism sector is considered an advantage.
