Role Overview

The Marketing Coordinator for Island EMI Label Group plays a vital role in assisting the organisation, coordination, and delivery of groundbreaking marketing campaigns across a varied artist portfolio. Collaborating with marketing managers and cross-functional teams, this position ensures campaigns transition smoothly from conception to post-release phases.

Key Duties

  • Organize and assist in planning and managing artist marketing campaigns spanning multiple projects and release schedules.
  • Oversee campaign timelines, milestones, and deliverables to keep projects on track and meet deadlines.
  • Contribute to the end-to-end production of singles, EPs, and albums by coordinating efforts with internal teams.
  • Work closely with departments including Marketing, A&R, Digital, Commercial, Audience Development, Creative, Publicity, and International teams to develop integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Foster strong partnerships with artist management and outside creative agencies throughout campaign stages.
  • Manage creative assets such as artwork, videos, photography, social media content, and advertising collateral, ensuring timely and accurate delivery according to briefs.
  • Provide briefs to designers and creative teams, facilitate feedback collection, and ensure prompt approval and delivery of campaign materials.
  • Assist with photoshoots, content creation, promotional activities, live events, and campaign launches by coordinating with photographers, stylists, makeup artists, and content producers.
  • Support management of campaign budgets, purchase orders, and financial tracking to maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare marketing presentations, release schedules, campaign updates, and internal communication materials.
  • Maintain thorough and organized campaign documentation, asset repositories, databases, and project tracking tools.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance metrics, prepare reports, and provide insights to inform future marketing strategies.
  • Offer proactive and flexible daily support to the marketing team, anticipating needs and assisting beyond defined duties.
  • Proofread and carefully review assets and campaign copy for accuracy and consistency.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Previous involvement in a Marketing Assistant, Label Assistant, or equivalent coordination/administrative role within the music or entertainment industry.
  • Familiarity with marketing campaigns in genres such as Pop, Electronic, R&B, and Rap is highly desirable.
  • Experience collaborating with creative partners like stylists, photographers, makeup teams, and content creators during artist campaigns.
  • Strong organizational prowess and project management skills capable of handling multiple concurrent campaigns.
  • Proficient time management with the ability to prioritize conflicting deadlines efficiently.
  • A proactive and self-driven approach, with readiness to take responsibility and exceed expectations within the team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling strong relationships internally and externally.
  • A team-oriented mindset, demonstrating problem-solving abilities and readiness to assist colleagues as needed.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and composure under pressure.
  • Solid administrative competencies and confidence using marketing platforms, analytics tools, and Microsoft Office.
  • Passion for music, artist growth, and current cultural trends, with dedication to executing high-quality campaigns.
  • Meticulous proofreading skills to ensure material accuracy.
