Job description
Position Summary
The Marketing & Brand Specialist will collaborate closely with the Media and Marketing Manager and the wider Marketing and Commercial teams to fulfil all marketing asset and brand needs across the Club. The role involves both independent and collaborative work to ensure professionalism and consistency in all visual branding elements.
Key Duties
- Support the creation and delivery of marketing and digital content in partnership with the Media and Marketing Manager.
- Contribute ideas for content, campaigns, stories, and imagery tailored for digital and social media platforms.
- Assist with the design, construction, and distribution of email marketing campaigns via the club's email platform.
- Oversee the management of the club’s photo archive using the designated asset management system.
- Collaborate with the Digital Content Producer to maintain consistent branding across multimedia content.
- Interpret design briefs and manage graphic design projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.
- Create a wide range of graphic assets across marketing and commercial departments, including emails, digital advertisements, game day content, team apparel, sponsor presentations, and signage.
- Maintain creative direction for all digital, web, and print visuals.
- Develop and deliver finished artworks to internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage key stakeholders to understand briefs and deliver high-quality, brand-aligned content.
- Serve as the brand guardian, ensuring consistency in club materials’ visual identity.
- Partner with the Media and Marketing Manager to develop innovative campaigns and digital concepts across promotions, social media, email marketing, websites, and collateral.
- Support the Game Day and Events Manager with sports presentation on game days.
- Lead desktop publishing tasks and manage print production.
- Assist with event setup and teardown for Sunshine Coast Lightning events.
- Handle general administrative tasks as required.
Collaborations
- Internal: Media and Marketing Manager, Digital Content Producer, Commercial and admin staff, Coaching and high-performance teams, and Athletes.
- External: Netball Australia, other teams in the Suncorp Super Netball League, ANC teams, Sunshine Coast Council, UniSC staff, commercial partners, suppliers, community groups, members, fans, and community representatives.

Qualifications and Experience
- Required: Tertiary qualification or commensurate experience in graphic design; expertise in digital and marketing fields is highly desirable.
- 2-3 years of advanced experience using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong grasp of graphic design principles and layout techniques.
- Proven ability to create innovative marketing solutions and interpret creative briefs.
- Track record of delivering commercial outcomes through tactical design initiatives.
Working Hours and Conditions
This position occasionally requires work during evenings and weekends, especially during the netball season.
Mandatory Requirements
- Must have valid Working with Children or Vulnerable People clearance.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is essential.
Preferred qualifications
- First Aid certification.
- Degree in Sports Marketing, Public Relations, or Communications.
