About the Role
If you have a passion for baking and enjoy working in a bakery or professional kitchen environment, this opportunity as a Market Street Baker is for you. You will be the welcoming face of our fresh bakery section, contributing to our commitment to quality fresh products while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure customers have confidence in the availability of fresh bakery items at all times.
- Keep displays of bakery products attractive, fresh, and of high quality to encourage sales throughout the day.
- Prepare various bakery products including bread, rolls, doughnuts, and fruit-based items using equipment like provers, ovens, and mixers, following company standards.
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service, creating memorable experiences and showcasing traditional baking skills and fresh products.
About You
- Friendly and supportive with a passion for exceeding customer expectations.
- Energetic and comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proactive in addressing customer needs and queries independently.
- Experienced in operating bakery equipment safely, maintaining high Health & Safety standards.
- Skilled in mixing and molding dough to create bakery products.
- Flexible, willing to assist across other fresh counters to ensure comprehensive customer service on Market Street.
