Role Overview
The Market Research Assistant / Market Research Analyst is tasked with executing market research initiatives, analyzing consumer behavior, and delivering data-backed insights to aid business strategy, product innovation, and marketing efforts. This position gathers both quantitative and qualitative data to spot market opportunities, assess industry trends, and support sound decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze information from surveys, market reports, customer feedback, sales data, digital analytics, and other resources.
- Organize and verify datasets, detect patterns and trends, and convert research outcomes into actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed market research reports, competitive analyses, dashboards, presentations, and executive summaries that effectively communicate findings.
- Track competitor activities, pricing models, customer preferences, and new market developments to guide strategic planning and growth.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, sales, and management teams to clarify research goals, assess campaigns, and support product positioning, customer segmentation, and market expansion strategies.
- Contribute to enhancing research methodologies, reporting processes, and data quality for improved business intelligence.
- Continuously monitor industry trends, consumer behavior shifts, and economic changes to keep research accurate and aligned with company goals.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Deep knowledge of market research methods, consumer behavior analysis, competitive intelligence, and business analysis.
- Capability to design, carry out, and interpret both quantitative and qualitative studies.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, data analysis tools, survey platforms, and reporting software; familiarity with business intelligence and digital analytics tools, along with data visualization, is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle complex datasets, find trends, and generate actionable insights.
- Understanding of survey design, sampling, statistical methods, customer segmentation, market sizing, and performance metrics is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to produce professional reports and presentations for diverse audiences.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and capacity to manage multiple projects meeting deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.
