What you will do

You will collect, verify, organize, and interpret data from surveys, customer responses, industry publications, market databases, digital analytics tools, and other public sources. A major part of the job is to study consumer patterns, buying behavior, market shifts, competitor moves, and industry changes to uncover opportunities, risks, and emerging trends.

The role also involves creating market research reports, competitor reviews, presentations, dashboards, executive summaries, and business recommendations that present insights in a structured, data-led format. In addition, you will support market sizing, audience segmentation, pricing studies, product positioning research, trend forecasting, and performance analysis to assist strategic planning and marketing efforts.

You will work closely with teams across marketing, product, sales, finance, strategy, and management to define research goals, evaluate campaigns, strengthen customer understanding, and deliver analytical guidance for growth. The role also contributes to improving research methods, data accuracy, reporting systems, and business intelligence workflows so that research output becomes more reliable and efficient.

Ongoing tracking of industry developments, consumer preferences, economic conditions, new technologies, and competitor strategies is required to keep findings relevant, timely, and aligned with organizational priorities.

Qualifications and skills

The ideal candidate should understand market research methods, business analysis, consumer behavior, competitive intelligence, and both quantitative and qualitative research approaches. You should be able to gather, analyze, and interpret complex market information to support decision-making.

Strong proficiency with spreadsheets, survey tools, data analysis software, reporting tools, business intelligence platforms, and presentation applications is important. Experience with statistical analysis, data visualization, and digital analytics tools will be an advantage.

You should bring strong analytical and critical thinking ability, a solid grasp of market trends and business performance metrics, and the capacity to convert data into practical recommendations. Knowledge of survey design, sampling, market sizing, customer segmentation, pricing analysis, competitor benchmarking, forecasting, and KPI measurement is also expected.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed to prepare professional reports, presentations, executive summaries, and other analytical documents for different stakeholders. Strong organization, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and the ability to handle several research projects at once in a deadline-driven, collaborative setting are essential.
