Job description
About the role
Netflix is expanding its advertising business across Europe and is hiring a Market Planning & Operations Manager to support the EMEA sales operations function in London. This role sits within the team shaping go-to-market execution for the ads business, with a focus on Sales Operations, and reports to the Senior Manager, Sales Operations.
Netflix serves more than 300 million paid memberships across over 190 countries, offering TV series, films, and games in many genres and languages. The company’s ad-supported tier launched in November 2022 and now supports standard 15-second and 30-second ads. Since launch, the advertising offering has broadened to include live content, brand integrations, and other partnership opportunities, with more than 80 million global monthly active users on the ad-supported tier.
The team is being built to support the scaling Ads program and help deliver the region’s go-to-market strategy as Netflix grows its sales operations presence in Europe.
What you'll do
- Work with the Director of Market Expansion on sales go-to-market planning for expansion markets, including customer segmentation, solution design, service-level planning, and choices around staffing, sales team structure, and territory allocation.
- Own core sales operations workflows such as revenue forecasting, pipeline tracking, quota planning, and monthly business reviews.
- Examine sales results and translate large, complex datasets into actionable insights across revenue, pipeline, product, and sales process metrics.
- Partner with teams across Market Activation, Finance & Strategy, HR, and Business Operations to support Ads-wide initiatives while representing sales needs and priorities.
- Maintain sales information in the CRM, including accounts, account teams, territories, opportunities, activities, and reporting structures.
- Work alongside sales, account management, solutions, measurement, and other partner teams to assess programme performance using both quantitative and qualitative analysis, with clear business impact.
- Create weekly, monthly, and quarterly review packs for senior leadership to support decision-making.
- Lead performance discussions with confidence and end-to-end ownership.
What we're looking for
- Meaningful experience in advertising or a related field, particularly in Sales Operations, typically around 7 or more years, though equivalent non-linear career paths are also welcome.
- Experience building strong working relationships with senior sales stakeholders at country, regional, or agency level.
- Understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem and either agency-led or direct-to-client advertising sales models is an advantage.
- Strong advanced spreadsheet capability; SQL and broader data analytics experience are beneficial, and automation or scalable tooling experience is a plus.
- Ability to take initiative, shape decisions, and influence others in cross-functional environments without direct line authority.
- Comfort working collaboratively and considering diverse perspectives when making decisions.
- Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to manage several projects at once.
- Additional European language skills such as German, French, Italian, or Spanish are preferred but not essential.
