Job description

Role Overview

This position is for a seasoned commercial and marketing professional to lead market growth and business development in the animal health sector across Zimbabwe and nearby markets. The role suits someone who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and who can build partnerships and deliver results in a fast-moving, multi-country setting.

What You’ll Do

  • Create and roll out go-to-market and marketing plans that support commercial expansion.
  • Own annual marketing planning, campaign delivery, and product positioning work.
  • Use market and competitor research to uncover growth opportunities.
  • Work closely with sales teams and distributors to improve product uptake.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, and other stakeholders.
  • Equip field teams with training, practical tools, and marketing support.
  • Make sure activities stay aligned with regulatory expectations and quality requirements.
  • Track sales results, market share, and profitability to guide decisions.
  • Partner with Regulatory, Technical, and Finance functions to support execution.

What We’re Looking For

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5–7 years of experience in marketing or commercial roles within animal health, preferably.
  • Background in managing markets across multiple countries or regions.
  • Solid knowledge of animal health markets and the regulatory landscape.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • Strong analytical thinking and a strategic approach to problem-solving.
  • Readiness to travel frequently within Zimbabwe and the wider region.
