Marine Boat Mechanic

About the role

An experienced marine mechanic is needed to support a growing team in Qatar. The position focuses on servicing, diagnosing, and repairing marine craft and engine systems, with an emphasis on jet skis and both outboard and petrol inboard engines.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair work on jet skis, outboard engines, and petrol inboard engines.
• Perform engine troubleshooting and identify the root cause of mechanical issues.
• Complete scheduled servicing, repair jobs, and full overhauls when needed.
• Inspect and test marine propulsion systems to confirm proper operation.
• Keep accurate service documentation and ensure work is completed to a high standard.

Requirements

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with jet skis and marine engines.
• Strong ability to diagnose mechanical problems and complete repairs effectively.
• English communication skills good enough for technical and work-related discussion; fluency is not mandatory.
• Knowledge of marine electrical systems will be considered an added advantage.
• Background as an automotive mechanic is acceptable and welcomed.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
