Job description
Overview
Marina Bay Sands is inviting candidates to explore food and beverage opportunities and grow a rewarding career in a service-focused environment. The roles are based in Singapore and require a strong guest-first mindset, polished presentation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
Available Positions
The career fair includes openings for F&B Service Attendant, F&B Host/Hostess, and F&B Captain.
F&B Service Attendant
- Manage food and beverage orders and deliver items to guests.
- Offer warm, attentive service to every customer.
- Support the team with restaurant preparation and setup before service, including checking that utensils and amenities are properly arranged and stocked.
- Assist guests with requests, recommend items, and confidently promote menu offerings.
- Handle reservation-related calls and emails.
- Take care of other administrative work assigned within the restaurant.
F&B Host/Hostess
- Receive reservations, answer calls, and respond to guest requests.
- Welcome guests in a friendly, courteous, and helpful manner.
- Allocate seating according to the restaurant’s rotation plan so guests are spread fairly across stations.
- Personalize the dining experience by using guest names when available and acknowledging special occasions.
- Record guest preferences, histories, and important dates such as birthdays and anniversaries.
- Share guest feedback with the manager and assistant manager.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the supervisor.
F&B Captain
- Escort guests to their tables and ensure they receive attentive service.
- Assist with setup, preparation, and proper handling of operating equipment.
- Maintain a consistently friendly and helpful attitude toward guests.
- Receive calls courteously and manage reservations.
- Direct guests to tables while balancing seating across the restaurant.
- Address customer concerns and questions in a professional manner.
- Guide servers to maintain high service standards.
- Support the Assistant Manager and department in meeting goals and performance targets.
Education, Experience, and Other Requirements
Candidates should have at least secondary school education with O Level passes; a diploma in any field is considered an advantage. Applicants need at least 1 year of experience in guest service or guest-facing work, preferably in hospitality, or 1 year of supervisory experience. A food hygiene and safety certification is required. The role also calls for shift work, including weekends and public holidays, and a neat, professional appearance.
