About the role
Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, is looking for a Manufacturing Technician in Singapore. The team designs, builds, and services aircraft engines and auxiliary power units for commercial, military, and business aviation. This onsite position is based at 51 Seletar Aerospace View in Singapore.
As part of the wider RTX group, the organization works across aviation, defense, and advanced manufacturing to solve complex customer needs. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-impact manufacturing work in a safety-focused environment.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out polishing, blending, and routine inspection work.
- Operate Shot Peen and Media Finish equipment after setup.
- Follow established work instructions and standard procedures carefully.
- Interpret basic blueprints when needed.
- Carry out risk assessments and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support daily 6S Lean activities to maintain a safe and organized workplace.
- Work with colleagues across functions to support different manufacturing activities.
- Take part in EH&S programs and personally uphold safety requirements.
- Follow the Code of Ethics and International Trade Compliance rules.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives, CORE activities, and other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Required qualifications
- Diploma, Higher NITEC, or NITEC in Precision Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in manual deburring, blending, and general inspection work.
- Comfortable working hands-on with tools and equipment.
- Open to permanent shift work and overtime when required.
Preferred background
- Prior exposure to shot peening or manual deburring/blending is advantageous.
- Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or precision engineering will be an added benefit.
