Job description
Role Overview
This position focuses on detailed mechanical assembly tasks within manufacturing, prominently involving the setup of fixtures and the loading and unloading of parts for Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment. A foundational knowledge of EDM troubleshooting and routine preventive maintenance is essential. Additional duties may include assorted mechanical and electrical assembly responsibilities associated with different manufacturing sub-assemblies as necessary.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Possession of a Diploma or Nitec certification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Two to three years of practical experience in roles similar to this.
- Proficiency with Wire EDM machine operation and its programming.
- Preferred familiarity with CNC programming and understanding G-code is advantageous.
- Strong abilities in troubleshooting and mechanical reasoning.
- Experience handling precision measurement apparatus such as microscopes, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), and additional inspection devices.
