Position Overview

As Managing Director for the Saudi Joint Venture, you will spearhead the next phase of development, ensuring excellence in operations and fostering strong partnerships within the Kingdom. Responsible for the comprehensive performance of the JV, you will oversee strategy formulation, financial outcomes, operational delivery, governance, customer relations, and leadership of the organization.

Key Duties

• Steer overall growth strategy, financial outcomes, and operational execution for the Saudi Joint Venture.
• Manage profit and loss responsibilities to achieve revenue, margin, cash flow, and capital management goals.
• Convert Board directives into practical plans with clear metrics and disciplined implementation.
• Enhance coordination among the JV, Board members, and HMH global and regional leadership.
• Establish and nurture senior-level relationships with drilling contractors, National Oil Companies, EPC collaborators, and other key players.
• Identify expansion opportunities by leveraging HMH’s comprehensive product and service portfolio.
• Drive best practices across commercial, manufacturing, aftermarket, field services, supply chain, quality, HSSE, and customer support divisions.
• Build and lead a proficient local management team fostering accountability, openness, teamwork, and continuous progress.
• Track market dynamics, competition, client developments, and potential risks to inform proactive strategy and Board communications.
• Serve as a credible representative of the JV among customers, shareholders, Board members, and internal leaders.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related area is required; MBA or advanced qualifications preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of ascending leadership experience within drilling, oilfield equipment, manufacturing, aftermarket services, or lifecycle management.
• Proven record of P&L management within complex, matrixed organizations.
• Strong competencies in commercial, operational, and client-facing leadership roles.
• Experience engaging with drilling contractors, National Oil Companies, and strategic partners, ideally within the Middle East or Saudi Arabia.
• Technical knowledge of drilling equipment, well control systems, automated pipe handling, lifecycle services, and capital equipment manufacturing is essential.
• Expertise leading diverse functions such as commercial operations, supply chain, service, engineering, quality, and HSSE.
• Preferred background includes Joint Venture leadership, country or regional executive roles.
• Demonstrates leadership based on transparency, collaborative spirit, accountability, and trustworthiness.
