About the opportunity
An established mid-sized international company that delivers specialized industrial solutions is looking for an entrepreneurial, commercially minded Managing Director to steer its Southeast Asia business from Singapore. This is a senior executive appointment with full accountability for the legal entity, regional performance, and the long-term direction of the business.
Role overview
The position calls for a hands-on leader who can manage a multi-industry business serving sectors such as Process Manufacturing, Utilities, and Consumer Goods. You will be responsible for driving international expansion, strengthening an established team, and shaping strategy across important regional markets.
Key responsibilities
- Take charge of the Singapore entity, including full P&L ownership and legal accountability.
- Accelerate growth by developing international sales, especially across two key regional markets.
- Oversee sales, service, technical, inside sales/projects, finance, and administration functions.
- Spot and execute cross-border opportunities and efficiencies within the regional structure.
- Lead transformation efforts and support change initiatives aligned with group objectives.
- Study market trends and competitor activity to uncover commercial opportunities.
- Act as the company’s senior representative with customers, partners, authorities, and global internal teams.
- Work closely with regional and global leaders to expand the company’s international footprint.
- Handle major commercial negotiations while ensuring strong legal, financial, and operational outcomes.
- Ensure ERP and CRM systems are used effectively across the organization.
- Promote the adoption of modern tools, methods, and frameworks.
- Maintain compliance with local and international regulatory obligations.

This role suits a proven Managing Director or General Manager from a B2B industrial environment who has owned full P&L responsibility and led multi-disciplinary teams through growth and transformation. Experience and background
- Demonstrated leadership as a Managing Director or General Manager in B2B industrial settings with full P&L responsibility.
- 10–15 years of relevant experience in the stated industries.
- Hands-on exposure to Southeast Asia, particularly Singapore, plus at least two additional key markets.
- Strong sales and commercial leadership, including market expansion and channel development.
- Experience working in international matrix organizations with global coordination responsibilities.
- Track record of leading multi-functional teams and business transformation.
- Comfort with complex project management and technical sales contract negotiations.

Compensation and benefits
- Base salary of up to SGD 300,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Car allowance of up to SGD 1,500 per month, or a company car as an alternative.
- Annual bonus of up to 25% of base salary, linked to performance.
