Role Overview
The Managing Director will serve a pivotal leadership role on a full-time remote basis, responsible for directing client engagements, financial strategy, and overall firm performance. Key duties include managing client relationships, designing financial roadmaps, delivering precise budgeting, forecasting, KPI development, and benchmarking services. This role involves mentoring team members, instituting best practices, and ensuring financial strategies align with clients’ broader goals. Daily activities encompass liaising with client executives, analyzing financial reports to identify opportunities and risks, and communicating actionable recommendations clearly.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and nurture a portfolio of client engagements with strategic financial oversight.
- Develop comprehensive financial plans, forecasts, and budgets tailored to client needs.
- Create and refine KPIs and benchmarking frameworks that align with business objectives.
- Manage and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative remote work environment.
- Interact regularly with executive leadership to discuss financial insights and strategies.
- Identify growth opportunities and risks through detailed financial analysis.
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to service innovation.
- Help define and execute the firm's long-term vision and operational best practices.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Demonstrated excellence in financial leadership encompassing forecasting, budgeting, KPI design, and analysis.
- Proven experience in strategic planning and business performance management with an ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations.
- Strong client relationship management skills, capable of communicating complex concepts in an approachable manner.
- Previous management and mentoring experience, especially in building remote, high-performing teams.
- Proficient with financial technology and cloud-based tools, adaptive to new systems and workflow enhancements.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, including presentations and negotiations at executive levels.
- Relevant background as a CFO, senior finance executive, or management consultant, preferably with experience supporting growth-focused companies.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related discipline required; advanced certifications like CPA, CFA, or MBA are advantageous.
- Strong ethical standards, sound judgment, and a commitment to inclusive leadership and client service.
