Role Overview
The Manager – Talent Acquisition will drive hiring support for aviation ground handling operations and help deliver recruitment plans that match business demand. The position covers high-volume hiring across frontline and support functions such as ramp services, baggage handling, customer service, and technical roles. The right candidate should have practical experience in aviation operations hiring, strong sourcing ability, and a focus on candidate experience in a compliance-heavy, fast-moving environment. Bulk hiring and blue-collar recruitment experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end hiring for frontline and support positions, ensuring the process is timely and the final hires meet quality standards.
- Find candidates through job portals, aviation institutes, employee referrals, and social media channels.
- Manage interview coordination, assessments, and selection workflows.
- Make sure recruitment steps follow aviation rules, including background verification and security clearance requirements.
- Support hiring forecasts based on operational rosters and seasonal changes.
- Work with HR business partners and station managers to align hiring plans with manpower needs.
- Keep recruitment trackers updated and maintain accurate hiring status reports.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with candidates across the full hiring cycle.
- Assist with onboarding activities and collect candidate feedback to improve the process.
- Take part in employer branding efforts and job fairs to help attract suitable talent.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand role needs and provide recruitment support.
- Coordinate with external recruitment agencies and vendors for sourcing and compliance.
- Support the Head of Talent Acquisition with reports and stakeholder updates.
- Use ATS platforms and recruitment tools to manage candidate pipelines and job postings.
- Prepare basic recruitment dashboards and reports for internal review.
- Look for ways to improve hiring processes and tools.
- Ensure hiring practices comply with labour laws, aviation safety requirements, and internal policies.
- Encourage inclusive recruitment practices and contribute to diversity initiatives.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
- 5 to 6 years of experience in talent acquisition, ideally in high-volume or operational hiring environments.
- Prior exposure to aviation, logistics, or similar sectors will be considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with recruitment compliance processes and security clearance procedures is preferred.
- Strong ability to source candidates and maintain engagement throughout the hiring process.
- Comfort working with ATS platforms and job boards.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong attention to detail, along with good coordination and organizational ability.
- Capability to perform in a fast-paced operational setting.
