About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Manager for our Social & Lifestyle division, dedicated to creating memorable experiences and fostering a sense of community. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing dynamic events and programs that engage Club Members and enhance their interaction within the Singapore Swimming Club. You will collaborate with internal teams, trusted partners, and the Social & Lifestyle Sub-Committee to bring a variety of events to life—from elegant parties to lively family gatherings and innovative new activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the Social & Lifestyle team during daily event and programme operations.
- Provide hands-on support and coordination to ensure seamless execution of all activities.
- Assist with staff scheduling, team development, and manpower management for events.
- Plan and oversee the Club’s Social & Lifestyle event calendar, managing both key and recurring programmes.
- Innovate by proposing and implementing fresh ideas to boost member participation and engagement.
- Monitor attendance and collect feedback to identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in budgeting processes, track event expenditures, and ensure financial control within approved limits.
- Manage the full lifecycle of event execution, ensuring timely delivery and high quality standards.
- Coordinate logistics, manpower, and operational needs with internal departments.
- Ensure adherence to approved plans and uphold service excellence during events.
- Maintain thorough documentation for planning, approvals, and post-event reviews.
- Engage directly with members during events to enrich their experience.
- Analyze feedback to enhance future programming.
- Manage relationships with vendors and partners, ensuring service quality and smooth event operation.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders such as F&B, Marketing, and Operations teams for integrated event delivery.
- Take on additional assignments and projects as directed by management.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Events Management, Hospitality, Communications, or related disciplines.
- At least 4 to 5 years of experience in planning events or lifestyle programmes, including experience in leading teams.
- Proven record of successfully delivering creative and impactful events.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational abilities and project management expertise.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management software; knowledge of Canva is advantageous.
- Experience in budget planning and vendor negotiations.
- Customer service-oriented mindset focused on member satisfaction.
- Energetic, proactive, and flexible, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, member-centric environment.
