Manager / Senior Manager / Head - HR (Plant HR Head - Manufacturing MNC @ Ulundai)

Role overview

This opportunity is for a senior plant HR leader to manage end-to-end HR for a manufacturing unit within a global Tier-1 EMS organization with a strong presence in India across manufacturing and R&D. The role is based in Sriperumbudur and is suited to someone who can lead strategic HR at plant level while ensuring smooth people operations and compliance.

Key responsibilities

The selected professional will be responsible for driving plant-wide HR strategy and execution across multiple workstreams.

• Own strategic HR initiatives for the plant and align them with business needs.
• Oversee statutory, factory, and labour law compliance.
• Manage employee relations and support a healthy shopfloor environment.
• Handle labour administration and related workforce management activities.
• Improve and streamline general administration processes.
• Lead recruitment, training and development, and performance management systems.
• Coordinate HR MIS and reporting.
• Support ESG, GHG, plant safety, FRRO, and visa-related processes.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be a seasoned plant HR professional with strong exposure to manufacturing environments and cross-functional compliance responsibilities. Tamil language fluency is required.

Required background

• 12+ years of experience in plant HR.
• Strong hands-on experience in employee relations, legal compliance, labour management, manpower augmentation, HRMIS, Kaizen, QMS, EHS, POSH, ESG, and ISO 14001 / 45001.
• Qualification preference includes MSW, MLM, or MBA with LLB.
• Tamil speaking capability is mandatory.
