Job description
About the Organisation
The organisation is part of a wider group of companies working across mental health, wellness, and safety. Its training portfolio includes mental health and wellness programmes delivered through counselling and integrated health businesses, safety courses through an emergency responder academy, and leadership and coaching programmes through an education hub.
Role Overview
The team is expanding its training division and is looking to build at scale. The position focuses on creating new programmes, pursuing WSQ and government funding, and strengthening relationships with corporate and institutional partners. This is a commercially focused and operationally hands-on role for someone who can work independently and help shape the growth of the division.
You will take ownership of both business development and training operations, working closely with leadership to grow the training business and ensure delivery runs smoothly.
Business Development and Growth
- Spot and develop new revenue opportunities across the training portfolio.
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, institutions, and public-sector bodies.
- Find, assess, and bring on trainers and facilitators across different course areas.
- Assist with proposals, tender responses, and partnership-related documents.
Funding and Accreditation
- Handle WSQ funding submissions and manage SSG / SkillsFuture processes from start to finish.
- Keep track of funding timelines, compliance obligations, and accreditation renewal requirements.
- Research and pursue grants, funding schemes, and other government support options.
Course and Programme Development
- Work with subject matter experts and trainers to design new courses and programme offerings.
- Coordinate launches from initial development through to delivery.
- Monitor market trends and identify gaps in the current training offering.
- Make sure programmes match industry demand, funding requirements, and quality expectations.
Training Operations
- Oversee the operational rollout of training programmes across the group.
- Track programme performance, enrolment levels, and revenue results, and prepare reporting as needed.
Who This Role Suits
This position is suitable for someone with 5 to 8 years of experience in business development, training management, or a blended BD and operations role. Familiarity with Singapore’s training environment, including WSQ, SSG, and SkillsFuture processes, is important.
The ideal candidate communicates well, represents the organisation professionally with external stakeholders, works independently without constant follow-up, and is comfortable managing several course areas and stakeholder groups at once. Experience in mental health, wellness, safety, or professional development training would be an advantage.
Bonus Qualifications
- ACTA, DACE, or DDDLP certification.
- Experience handling WSQ or SSG courses.
- An existing network of trainers, corporate learning and development contacts, or industry partners.
