Role Overview

As Manager, People & Culture, you will be instrumental in attracting, engaging, developing, and supporting staff while nurturing a positive workplace environment. You will collaborate with hotel leaders to implement impactful HR initiatives, provide daily People & Culture assistance, and enhance the colleague experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, ensuring an outstanding candidate journey and positioning the hotel as a top employer via recruitment events, partnerships, and onboarding processes.
  • Design, facilitate, and improve learning and development programs including onboarding, leadership, service excellence, and compliance training to enhance colleague skills aligned with business goals.
  • Lead recognition and engagement efforts by managing reward programs, supporting performance reviews, conducting new hire feedback sessions, and fostering an inclusive and positive work culture.
  • Act on behalf of the Director, People & Culture when needed, offering coaching and guidance to leaders on HR issues such as employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation.
  • Support planning and execution of HR programs, events, and strategic initiatives that boost engagement and organizational effectiveness.
  • Build trusting relationships across the hotel by providing prompt, professional HR support, promoting collaboration, accountability, and service excellence.
  • Assist with workplace Health and Safety initiatives, including training, committee involvement, compliance activities, and ongoing improvement efforts.
  • Maintain high professional standards, confidentiality, and integrity while supporting departmental goals and performing additional related duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Background in operational roles within luxury hospitality is advantageous.
  • Proven track record managing training programs and full-cycle recruitment processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, capable of fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and initiative-taking individual who embraces challenges.
  • Skilled communicator and facilitator.
  • Highly organized, proactive, disciplined, and innovative.
