Job description
About Riyadh Air
Riyadh Air (RX), based in the Saudi Capital, is a newly established national airline aiming to transform the aviation industry by turning Saudi Arabia into a global hub for aviation and trade. This digitally native carrier plans to connect the Kingdom to over 100 destinations worldwide.
Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and experienced professional to establish and lead our Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) program from scratch. This position offers a unique opportunity to design and implement a thorough safety management system in alignment with ISO 45001 standards, laying the groundwork for a scalable culture that prioritizes safety as the airline expands.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation, deployment, and ongoing enhancement of the OHS Management System to ensure the organization's compliance with international safety standards.
- Identify and manage risks, ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and promote a robust safety culture throughout the company.
- Pursue proactive detection of potential hazards, spearhead industry-leading safety practices, and devise innovative solutions that not only reduce incidents but also elevate operational safety excellence.
- Direct incident investigations, coordinate audits, and liaise with regulatory bodies to maintain the highest safety standards.
- Deliver training programs on safety protocols and provide strategic reporting and insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and external agencies to advocate safe work practices and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a relevant degree and possesses at least seven years of substantial experience in occupational health and safety roles, including a minimum of three years in management or program design.
- Proven capability to work effectively in a multinational and culturally diverse environment.
- Preferred certifications include ISO 45001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor, ICAO Safety Management Systems (SMS) training, or equivalent qualifications in aviation safety.
Joining Riyadh Air
This is a distinctive opportunity to lead and innovate occupational health and safety within a growing airline, shaping best practices rather than inheriting legacy methods. Candidates who bring passion and expertise are encouraged to apply and take part in defining the future of safe air travel.
