Role overview
This position is for a site-level MEP professional focused on HVAC execution and supervision. The job involves carrying out and overseeing installation, testing, and commissioning activities for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems on project sites. The work must align with approved drawings, technical requirements, quality expectations, and the planned project timeline, while maintaining strong coordination with internal teams and subcontractors and ensuring safe execution throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities
- Review HVAC drawings and specifications, then work with design and execution teams to avoid clashes during installation.
- Oversee subcontractors and make sure materials, tools, and manpower are in place so site work continues smoothly.
- Track daily progress and check that installation of equipment and duct fabrication meets quality expectations.
- Assist in HVAC testing and commissioning work, including air balancing, water balancing, and functional performance testing.
- Keep records such as installation checklists, test documents, and material usage reports.
Stakeholder coordination
The role requires regular interaction with project and execution teams for sequencing and coordination, with planning, QA/QC, and safety teams for timelines, compliance, and inspections, and with design and engineering teams for technical clarifications and implementation support. Externally, the position works with subcontractors and vendors for execution support and supply coordination, with clients, consultants, and PMCs for inspections and approvals, and with testing and commissioning agencies for validations and technical checks.
Qualifications and experience
Candidates should have ITI, Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC specialization. Strong English communication is expected, and knowledge of a regional language is preferred. The role calls for 10 to 22 years of experience in site execution of HVAC systems, particularly in industrial projects covering equipment installation, ducting, commissioning, and adherence to technical standards.
Technical and behavioural capabilities
The ideal candidate should be comfortable with HVAC equipment installation, ducting and piping layout, air and water balancing, and commissioning of chillers and AHUs. Knowledge of insulation methods, HVAC standards and codes such as ASHRAE, ISHRAE, and NBC, as well as working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office, is also important. Additional needs include familiarity with testing and commissioning processes, quality control, safety compliance, reconciliation, and resource planning. From a behavioural standpoint, the role requires strong coordination, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, communication skills, accountability, adaptability, result orientation, time management, and a safety-first mindset.
